Contestable Funding
The UniServices Funds Advisor Team supports University researchers to compete and succeed in securing national and international contestable funding.
While supporting applications to more than 170 funding schemes, the team makes a major commitment to the funds managed by the Health Research Council, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) Endeavour Fund and Royal Society Te Apārangi.
By providing advice and support to researchers and their faculties about funding rounds, the team aims to ensure that applications submitted are of high quality and meet all eligibility criteria.

Contract Research & Consultancy
University researchers may have opportunities to take on research or consultancy contracts, whether they’re side opportunities for individuals or major projects for research groups.

If you’re investigating a specific opportunity, UniServices manages all aspects of contracting when engaging with external clients or funders for research and academic services. This includes the negotiation and execution of a range of contractual documents.
Contract managers also provide advice and guidance on contractual and legal matters, including intellectual property rights, confidentiality and publications, to ensure the best outcomes for all parties. Other types of contracts might be handled at the faculty level.
